When the childlike innocence of Death was felt,
The scenario became all appealing.
But gradually,
The ‘Preacher’ also became infidel.

It is a platform to share the meaningful thoughts I have come across in my life. I want you to read not only the words but also the hidden meaning in between the lines for better and greater understanding. These are still the secondary details; search for truth needs to be done independently.

The preacher preached what he felt was right, but failed to practice the same, had he been practicing what he was preaching, may be the gradual shift would not have occured
I think this has been said on a positive note and not a negativeone.
The scenario of the death is so beautiful / appealing that during the teachings, the preacher himself got lost in that, he became infidel. Well, this my interpretation of this poem.
So, it's not that the preacher failed to practice what he preached.
he he I was just fooling around ;)
