Hide what? from whom? for what? and why? What are you ashamed of to hide anything?
You might be able to hide it from the world, but then somewhere you would be cheating....
You might be able to hide it from everyone else, but how would you hide from your own self, your soul and the almighty???
think through that...
But yes as a poem it sounds awesome thoughts
You are right that one can hide from things from the world but not from himself; his inner self.
Well, here the poet doesn't intent to hide anything. It's just a way of writing whereby the other object / word in the line gets more emphasis.
