Religion and science

"The third teaching of Bahá'u'lláh is that religion and science are in complete agreement. Every religion, which is not in accordance with established science is superstition. Religion must be with reason, it is superstition without foundation. It is like a mirage, which deceives man by leading him to think it is a body of water.
God has endowed man with reason that he may perceive what is true. If we insist that such a subject is not to be reasoned out and tested according to the established logical modes of the intellect, what is the use if the reason, which god has given to man."
- Abdu'l-Bahá

Pretty well said by Abdul-Baha. Indeed every religion has Scientific Base to its preachings. Take an example from the so called Ritual (I would call it a practice) of Havan. if we look at the ingredients of Havan Samagri and the shape of Havan Patra... we would find that it is nothing but a way to create a (Cosmic) energy source. To understand my point on Cosmic Energy Source, I would draw your attention to the shape of Pyramids that were designed in a fashion that the Energy flows through the structure to reach the center point where mummies were buried, that is the structure of Pyramid collects and centralizes energy within it. Similarly the Shape of Havan Patra is just the inverted Pyramid, spread the energy in the atmosphere......

Look at two examples, both with scientific principles and pretty much on same lines

Very true. I agree with what you explained. There is science behind every religion and a scientific reasoning / logic behind the religious acts. But the problem is those logics have not been passed on the next generation, so now they have just become rituals (means acts without logic) i.e., the actor is not unaware of the reasoning of his action. The actor is blindly following it may be out of some fear.

If we dive deep in the reasoning, we might find the scientific logic. But one has to do that extra effort.

Moreover, those scientific logics were made in some other era, which used to hold good for the conditions prevailing that point in time. The scenario has changed now and has the logic should also be modified to that extent.

Now here I would like to relate to the saying by Bell in the post - "The traveled path"....that's where I would say Think Originally to understand the preachings of Religion and underlying logic.....if you would read the lines, it would not mean different, read between the lines and think lateral to derive the meanings and the logic.....walk through any religion's any religious book, you would find matching logic in them but just the meanings have been twisted around to create sects and bury the logic

Thats true. Same is my opinion too that if we go deep in the fundamentals of any religion, they all say more or less the same. If we read what is said in between the lines i.e., the logic, the intent...it's all the same. It's just some over smart people try to interpretate the spiritual stuff the way they interprate the law and subsequently twist them for their benefit.
