Celebration
I teach you celebration.
Celebration is my key.
And I treach you:
Celebrate your sex, it is a God-given gift.
Celebrate you body, it is God's grace.
Celebrate each moment that has been given to yo, each breath, each heartbeat.
It is such a benediction.
Live God right now! I don’t give you God as a goal; I make God available to you right now, this very moment.
Celebrate, and you are in God."

Tell me why
In my dream children sing a song of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue and fields are green and laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see is a world full of people in need
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don't understand.
When so many need somebody we don't give a helping hand.
Tell me why?
Everyday I ask myself what will I have to do to be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight to prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for to waste in a world full of war?
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed? Tell me why (why) cos I don't understand.
When so many need somebody we don't give a helping hand.
Tell me why?
(children) tell me why? (declan) tell me why?
(children) tell me why? (declan) tell me why?
(together) just tell me why, why, why?
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don't understand.
When so many need somebody we don't give a helping hand.
Tell me why (why, why, does the tiger run)
Tell me why (why why do we shoot the gun)
Tell me why (why, why do we never learn)
Can someone tell us why we let the forest burn?
(why, why do we say we care)
Tell me why (why, why do we stand and stare)
Tell me why (why, why do the dolphins cry)
Can some one tell us why we let the ocean die ?
(why, why if we're all the same)
tell me why (why, why do we pass the blame)
tell me why (why, why does it never end)
can some one tell us why we cannot just be friends?

Precedent
Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed, set upon him and beat him up. Soon, none of the eight monkeys ever attempts to climb the ladder.
One of the original monkeys is then removed, and a new monkey is put in the room. Seeing the bananas and the ladder, he wonders why none of the other monkeys are doing the obvious. But undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the ladder. All the other monkeys fall upon him and beat him silly. He has no idea why. However, he no longer attempts to climb the ladder.
A second original monkey is removed and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other monkeys hammer the crap out of him. This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it. However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey.
One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced. Eight new monkeys are now in the room. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water. None of them attempt to climb the ladder. All of them will enthusiastically beat up any new monkey who tries, without having any idea why.
Many of like monkey follow the precedent blindly without understanding or may be due to the fear and unnecessarily live a miserable life.

Surrounded by all we need
We are surrounded by all that we need and we could ever wish for, but, that, we are not conscious of. We are seeking continuously and desperately for something or someone out of dissatisfaction with our so-called ordinary lives. But if we cannot appreciate the wonder of simply being alive, we will never be truly content in this transitory world.

Without preferences
"The WAY is not difficult for someone without preferences."
What makes the journey difficult is the intrinsic tendency of our duelist minds to classify things, events, people as good and bad, desired and undesired, pleasant and unpleasant, and so on. Classification leads to comparison, comparison leads to dissatisfaction and hence results in unhappiness...When we completely accept "what IS" as a reflection of a perfect mechanism, we perceive the unity beyond all the dualities and hence preferences lose their meanings and their importance in our lives.

Stop Killing
Some of you eat them with spices
One fine morn, you draw ropes and gun
You say, you want to kill them for fun
You rear animals and peel them for leather
You catch innocent birds for their feather
While you, the shooters, practice for aiming
You target the life that is flying
Just for some pleasure you make them victim
I think you don’t care about eco-system
But I’m not ready for any compromises
Please clean up your heart, no excuses
Don’t shrink their habitat, have mercy
Me say, let them live and move freely
Stop and discourage buying of animals
And support innocent in their fight for survival
Tell you again, me say, listen my friend
It’s endangered species that we must defend
Well, I’m here with the right motive
To protect wild life, as my objective
I know you give respect to what I say
“Don’t kill animals and birds”, I pray
So next time when you go out for safari
Remember the teaching of Bhandari.

Just be Present
Life is heading towards end
And we lie, we fear, we pretend
This way, we die every second
We only react but never understand
All the good, all the bad, we attend
All we need to do is just be present
And see the things the way they end

The wave and the sea are One
If we only experience the surface of things, we will live like a wave, pushed around by invisible currents and regularly crashed down onto the rocky shore line. But if we choose the depths where motion slows down and the silence sets in, we will sense the connectedness and the Oneness of all beings.
Waves come and go, but the ocean remains...

Man Maketh the World?
About a small living creature;
Killed it was, without any cause,
Without a thought about its loss.
Then I saw a documentary
And heard the full commentary
About man and his cruelty,
Destroying things, not knowing their utility.
It came to me in a sudden flash,
That all man does is to clash;
When he can be a cannibal,
Why can’t he kill a poor animal!
One day in order to quench his thirst,
Would he be draining away the ocean?
Upto the level of the crust,
Would he be snatching away life portion?
Nothing would be left then,
This world, a dessert barren,
This is not for what we strive,
Not this for what we crave.
This day, let us take a vow
Into Mother Nature shall we sow
The roots of an atmosphere serene
Revitalizing the environment green.
Words spoken from your mouth cannot be taken back;
If you can’t, don’t give; but take not life of others.

Face to face with truth
Buddha said, “But what has the bull to do with it? If that man feels that god has given something to him, has been favorable to him, he should sacrifice himself.” Buddha entered the crowd and asked the man, “What are you doing?” Why are you being violent to this poor bull? He has not done anything!”
The man was a Brahmin, a scholar, a knower of scriptures. He quoted the scriptures saying, “You don’t know. The Vedas say that if in a religious ceremony an animal is crucified, killed, murdered, butchered, the animal soul goes to heaven directly. I am not being violent to him, he will go to heaven.”
The Buddha said, “Why don’t you kill your father or your mother or yourself? Why are you missing the opportunity to go to heaven? This bull may not want to go to heaven. If this is certain, then kill your father or kill your mother – or kill yourself! The best thing is to kill yourself!”
The Brahmin listened to Buddha. His presence made it so clear to him: he dropped the weapon right there, he renounced that religious ceremony and he asked Buddha, “Now you tell me how to be religious, because I have been doing these things my whole life. You have shocked me, but you have made me awake too.”

Reverence for life
I asked him, "You look a nice person. What was the reason? What have these animals done to you?"
He said, "It is not the question of reason or a question of them doing anything against me. It is just a game."
I said, "Just look from other side: If a lion killed you, would that be a game? Your wife, your children, your brothers - will any one of them have the guts to say that it was a beautiful game? It will be a disaster. If you kill, then it is a game; if they kill, it is a calamity. These double standards show your dishonesty, insincerity."
He said, "I have never thought about it."
But the whole of humanity is non-vegetarian; they are all eating other life forms. There is no reverence for life as such. Unless we create an atmosphere of reverence for life, man can't realze the goal of getting his fundamental right of life.

Tribute to M.J.
In the end we kiss the death
We start our life in a home
At the end we are all alone
Is this a tragedy or an irony
Or a journey to eternity
Is this death a kiss of rose
With these questions, I arose
It's all up to us to decide
To think again and redefine
The way we live, the way we see
The larger picture in totality
All we need to do is be in love
Like the duck and the dove
Be an observer all the time
Live in present and all will be fine

Why it is dark?
and wonder why it is dark!
When we think there is a problem in life, we should realize that the problem actually lies within us. We may not be able to transform the situation, but we can transform ourselves and how we perceive our lives. When we look at things from the view point of our separate ego-self, we cast a shadow which obscures the light of our essential self and everything seems dark. If we turn and face the light, we rise above our limited self-interest and can see the whole picture.

The king's highway
On the day of the contest, many people took part in the contest. Some of them had fine chariots; some had fine clothing and fancy food to make the trip luxurious journey. Some wore their sturdiest shoes and ran along the highway on their feet to show their skill. All day they travelled the highway, and when they arrived at the end, most of them complained to the king about the large piles of rocks and debris that had been left almost blocking the road at one point which got in their way and hindered their travel.
At the end of the day, a lone traveller crossed the finish line wearily and walked to the king. He was tired and dirty, but he addressed the king with great respect and handled him the small box. He said, "I stopped along the way to clear a pile of rocks and debris that was blocking the road. This box was under it. Please have it returned to its rightful owner".
The king replied, "You are the rightful owner of this box and it contains gold." "Oh no", said the traveller, "It does not belong to me".
"Oh yes", said the king, "you have earned this gold, for you won my contest. He who travels the road best is he who makes the road better for those who will follow".

When I look at my face and I look in my eyes
Everyday that I get up, I feel more unwise
And I look deep down the sea, I look across the sky
Well, everyday that I get up, I go on analise

Now, everyday that I get up, I take it no surprise
Every time I step out of my door, why I find no paradise

Your life is your life
Silence, Witnessing and Existence
Because we have forgotten silence, forgotten the silence the art of meditation, we have become alienated. We have become small, dirty, muddy pools and we don’t know how to go and be one with ocean. We go on becoming dirtier every day, shallower every day, because the water goes on evaporating. We are just muddy, our life has no clarity. Our eyes can't see and our heart can't feel. This state is the state of indifference; it is a negative state. The mystics have called it the dark night of soul. It is not witnessing, it is just the opposite of witnessing.

"Not at all," replied the master, "Most people are constantly distracted from what they are doing."

Is That So?
When the child was born, the parents brought it to the Hakuin, who now was viewed as a pariah by the whole village. They demanded that he take care of the child since it was his responsibility. "Is that so?" Hakuin said calmly as he accepted the child.
For many months he took very good care of the child until the daughter could no longer withstand the lie she had told. She confessed that the real father was a young man in the village whom she had tried to protect. The parents immediately went to Hakuin to see if he would return the baby. With profuse apologies they explained what had happened. "Is that so?" Hakuin said as he handed them the child.
